The third generation Hennessey VelociRaptor was unveiled earlier this week, with no less than 600 HP. The car based on the popular Ford F-150 Raptor is now available for orders and pricing kicks off at $85,950.
That will include the Ford F-150 Raptor the tuned model is based on, of course, but there’s so much done to this truck in VelociRaptor guise that you’ll soon forget just how big the price gap is. The guys from Hennessey did their usual tricks on the truck and got it to a whopping 600 HP and 622 lb-ft of torque.

Those figures are squeezed out of the 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 the car comes with as standard, thanks to a host of modifications. The air intake has been changed, along with a high-capacity intercooler system with a blow-off valve, meant to keep everything cool under the hood. Then there’s also a new engine management system meant to actually increase the power levels to the aforementioned figures.
According to Hennessey, the VelociRaptor should make good use of its 600 HP and do 0-60 mph in 4.2 seconds, running the quarter-mile in 12.9 seconds at a trap speed of 110 mph. With such claims, the upgraded F-150 comes very close to what the Ram 1500 TRX is claiming.

“The VelociRaptor has been a cornerstone of our production for years with our customers queuing up for the truck’s surprisingly nimble handling, great practicality… and of course, the horsepower!” John Hennessey said in a statement. “The popularity of this truck gave the opportunity to create a family of VelociRaptors including the SUV, 6×6, V8, and Bronco variants going to customers across the country and around the world.”
In typical Hennessey fashion, other upgrades are also available for the VelociRaptor. For example, you can get new front and rear bumpers with LED lights embedded in them, 20-inch wheels with 37-inch off-road tires, a new suspension leveling kit and, of course, custom badges. Brembo six-piston brake calipers are also available if you want to stop in a hurry. Orders are now open and the first deliveries are stated to kick off in early 2022.
