2021 Toyota Venza: It’s Good to be Back
The Venza has returned, though it never left much of an imprint on its first run. The original (2009-2015) was discontinued based on poor sales and struggle to compete in its segment. But it’s back, potentially with a vengeance! Now based on the RAV4 platform and limited to hybrid AWD as the only option, it is setting out to carve its own niche like the Prius before it. Does it succeed? Time will tell, but I can hedge some bets.
Lightning strikes again: Ford’s new all-electric F-150 (coming 2022)
Ford has revived the infamous Lightning name. Originally attached to the SVT F-150 Lightning in the 90s, it is now the designation for the all-electric F-150 line coming in 2022.
2012 Mazda MX-5 Miata (NC): Modern Heritage
Often overlooked and very underrated, this is the 3rd generation Mazda MX-5 Miata. AKA, the “NC Miata”. I can recommend it as the best sports car for almost anyone, yet it is arguably the least-loved in the Miata lineage.
