Lexus unveiled a new special edition model for the LC Coupe line-up. The Lexus LC Black Inspiration will be available to order starting next month but pricing is yet to be announced. Nevertheless, this definitely looks like a car we can get behind, with a very interesting black on black finish.
The LC Black Inspiration will come finished in Lexus’ own Graphite Black paint exclusively and will have almost all exterior details done in the same dark shade. The radiator grille, door mirrors, headlight surrounds have all turned black, courtesy of the special treatment this LC is getting. Furthermore, even the 21-inch forged wheels that come as standard, with their five-spoke design have the same finish.
All the new LC Black Inspiration models will come fitted with the Sport Plus Package as standard and that means you’ll get things like the carbon fiber roof, carbon fiber scuff plates and a fixed spoiler on the boot lid as well. All of them have been dressed up in black too, as you would expect.
These special edition models will come with a lot of kit included as standard as well. Inside the cabin you’ll find 10-way adjustable seats, semi-aniline leather upholstery, a head-up display and the Mark Levinson sound system with its 13 speakers thrown all around the car. That’s not all though. You’ll also get a heated steering wheel, heated and ventilated seats, keyless entry, a blind-spot monitoring system and rear cross traffic alert.
On the performance side of things, the LC Black Inspiration models will be offered in both versions of the Lexus Coupe model. Therefore, you can have your pick between the 471 HP 5-liter V8 and the 354 HP 3.5-liter hybrid V6. We’d definitely stick to the former. All cars will be fitted with a Torsen limited-slip differential at the back, dynamic rear-wheel steering and a variable ratio steering rack along with adaptive dampers. While we’re still waiting for the price tag to be announced, we’re not expecting these special edition models to be exactly bargains when they come out.
