Roush Unveils Upgrade Kit For Ford Bronco

At the SEMA Show in October, Ford displayed six Bronco aftermarket creations. They came in a variety of styles, from moderate to wild, to fit everyone’s preferences. If that doesn’t cover your needs, Roush Performance has the Bronco R for you. The Roush Bronco R Series Kit, which is not to be confused with the Ford Bronco R Baja Racer, provides both aesthetic and performance upgrades for your off-road-ready SUV.

It joins Roush Performance’s stable of Mustang, F150, Super Duty, and Ranger builds as a kit that customers can choose to install at the dealership or at home. The exterior enhancements include an R trailer hitch cover, a Roush Performance license plate frame, and a set of Roush-designed 17-inch wheels, in addition to the Roush badging and decals.

These five wheel designs, according to Roush, are made to fit most off-road tires in both all-terrain and mud-terrain applications. Roush includes a full-depth front, center, and rear floor protection package, as well as high-capacity liners, on the inside of the Bronco. A weatherproof hard case, recovery strap, D-links, flashlight, and work gloves are included in the off-road recovery package.

Roush also includes a console vault with a combination lock for complete roofless and door-less off-road pleasure. Roush adds a bigger capacity air filtration system (and pre-filter) to the mix for performance, which has been shown to boost the air induction system’s durability and overall longevity.

Roush also fitted an adventure-ready exhaust system with a stainless steel Roush muffler and a black-coated tip that can be removed. It works with both 2.3L and 2.7L engines and is simple to install because it replaces the standard joint. With a starting price of $6,750, the Roush Bronco R aftermarket series package is available for both two-door and four-door versions of the off-roader. A three-year/36,000-mile limited warranty is included in the price, as well as a limited lifetime warranty for the exhaust system.
